Chicago Neighborhoods - Bucktown
Bucktown is located east of Logan Square, North of Wicker Park and South of Lincoln Park. Bucktown has been most recognized as an urban Mecca to young, hip, urban professionals. Its closest neighborhood of Wicker Park as well has the feeling of hipsters, foodies and the fresh city crowd. It has so much character with all the unique architecture, cafe's, bars and boutique stores. Bucktown is a great alternative to the fast paced lifestyle of River North, with more character and charm of a real Chicago neighborhood.
In the late 20th century Bucktown was known for a large artsy community and slowly through many tear downs the neighborhood has changed into a great mix of families and young professionals. Damen Avenue is loaded with trendy chic designer stores as well as bars and boutiques. Bucktown has really come into its own lately and will accommodate any lifestyle.
